1. Go to an Allblacks test match
I'm paying off tickets to go to the quarter finals of the rugby world cup next year. Not quite an allblacks text match but live international rugby so getting close.
2. Have dinner at LoganBrown Restaurant in Wellington
Done! Went for our 6th Wedding Anniversary - will do a separate post about that.
3. Experiment with homemade cleaners in order to stop using nasty chemicals
Not quite there on this one but I am using up the huge collection of stuff that we have. The only cleaning product I have bought all year is one bottle of multi purpose spray.
4. De clutter the house and organise our stuff
Making huge progress on this one. Have sold stuff on trademe and have a growing collection of things that will be donated to the local Women's Refuge.
5. Try one new recipe a month
I've got a bit slack in the cooking department. I must get back into trying new things.
6. Stick to the Destitute Gourmet ideal of not buying anything I can reasonably make myself
A bit slack here too. With the addition of 2 more children I started buying prepacked stuff again. Was stupid cos it costs more and then the kids prefer that to homemade so I'm heading back to homemade from now on.
7. When buying gifts for people, buy handmade (and preferably New Zealand made)
This has been tricky especially for the kids, but I have got some second hand goodies that I've tidied up for Christmas pressies.
8. Go on a Quad Bike adventure
Will have to wait til next year
9. Reach & maintain my ideal weight
Healthier choices everyday will make this attainable but it needs some serious attention.
10. Be medication free (diet controlled Diabetes rather than taking a drug cocktail every morning)
Sugar levels are stable but I need to make more effort with number 9 to get off the medication.
11. Complete my teacher registration advice and guidance programme and become fully registered
Not sure this will happen now that I'm a stay at home mum...
12. Learn 30 phrases in a foreign language
Still deciding which language - maybe french or spanish?
13. Keep both this blog and my MummyMel blog up to date
hahaha
14. Go on a holiday with Ryan to somewhere tropical
We are thinking we might do this in July 2012 which will be between my 30th in April and Ryan's 40th in Oct
15. Visit Ryan's family in Perth
Maybe for Christmas next year?
16. Get a tattoo
I'm getting a bit nervous about this one now
17. Teach Dad to blog
I must spend more time with Dad so this can happen
18. Make a patchwork quilt
This is going to be my project for next winter
19. Read 30 books
I'm slowly getting there. I must start reviewing what I have already read
20. Watch 30 movies
This could prove to be a challenge as I haven't been watching many lately.
21. Shear a sheep
Hmmm, what was I thinking?
22. Go Zorbing
Hopefully this can be worked into out family holiday next April
23. Do the Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb
I'm thinking this will probably happen over Easter Weekend 2011
24. Bungy Jump
Maybe towards the end of next year...
25. Go for a ride in a Hot Air Balloon
I'm thinking this might be a good one to save to do on my 30th Birthday.
26. Go in a Helicopter
Helipro Wellington have short scenic flights that aren't too expensive. Might fit that in over the summer holidays
27. Walk from Waiinu Beach to Mowhanau Beach
I intend to do this over New Year's Weekend while visiting Mum and Dad.
28. Climb Mt Egmont
I will put an entry into the ballot for the alpine climb guided climb for February 2012
29. Do the Tora Coastal Walk
I'm planning to do this in January 2012
30. Walk/Run a Marathon
Round the bridges in Wanganui 2011. I think it is usually in early December. I'll see how I go - might have to do the half but will still aim for the full marathon.
I'll do number 30 with you!
